  • How big is the Burton Complex? The entire complex is situated on approximately 50 acres of land. The Burton Coliseum is one of the largest structures in Southwest Louisiana. In addition to our facilities, the parking lot contains 3,000 spaces, and also includes 140 camping/rv sites, all equipped with electricity, sewer, and water!
  • Why are some of the parking lot lights much smaller than the others? A small portion of Burton's parking lot is situated on the final approach for one of the runways at the Lake Charles Regional Airport. Due to FAA Regulations, the parking lot light posts in this area are required to remain a specific height.
  • The inside of the Coliseum looks much brighter. What lighting is used to illuminate this area? The event space inside the Burton Coliseum is equipped with approximately 80 large LED light fixtures, producing a brighter effect on all events in a much more efficient manner. These lights are among the leading edge in venue operations and standards today, and should last more than 10 years with barely any need of maintenance!
